Our Mission
To enable families to advance economically through offering parents the opportunity to pursue their educational goals. To achieve this mission, we provide trusted, Free Babysitting to Low-Income Student Parents in Greater Boston.
Program Update: Temporary Suspension of Services
As of May 31, 2025, Sitters for Scholars has temporarily suspended our free in-home babysitting services for low-income student parents in the Boston area.
We’re using this pause to reevaluate our program in light of evolving student needs and remote eduction trends. We’re connecting with families, volunteers, and partners to explore how we can better support student parents going forward.
